Computer science enthusiast from Morocco, building for the web and breaking things apart to understand how they work.
I'm Monssif Zhairi, a developer based in Morocco focused on web development, cybersecurity, programming, Linux and AI.
On the web side I build full products, not mockups: a bilingual watch boutique on Next.js and Supabase with a real cart, checkout and admin back office, and a scroll-driven 3D watch experience that renders an exploded frame sequence on canvas.
On the systems side I write code that has to be correct at a lower level, like the chess engine at the core of MR Chess — board representation, legal move generation and FEN encoding in Dart, covered by unit tests.
Alongside that I keep a foot in cybersecurity and Linux, because understanding how systems break is the fastest way to understand how they work. I'm happiest learning by shipping something real and reading the source.
Three projects I actually shipped, with the stack I actually used.
Ecommerce
A bilingual (FR/EN) watch boutique for the Moroccan market, priced in dirhams with free shipping over 1,000 DH. Storefront, wishlist, cart, checkout and a full admin back office for products, stock, orders and settings. Checkout validates stock and minimum order inside a Postgres function; watch photos upload to a Supabase Storage bucket; the admin area is behind Supabase Auth.

A chess app built as a Melos monorepo: one Flutter app plus 15 packages, each feature area isolated. The chess core is hand-written Dart — board representation, legal move generation, castling rights, game state and result, and a FEN codec — with unit tests at each build step. The playable board, pieces, player cards and undo are wired up through Riverpod and go_router; Stockfish, puzzles, analysis, multiplayer and auth are scaffolded and documented in the PRD, architecture and schema docs.
3D · Creative Web
A cinematic product page built around a canvas image sequence. Scroll progress maps monotonically from the complete watch to its exploded state, and scrolling back up replays the same frames in reverse — it never autoplays. Silver and black load from separate frame sets rather than CSS filters, and the frame manifest is generated at build time, so adding a variant needs no component edits.
